Philosophy

Adrian believes in the power of people and loves to share knowledge about achieving personal and collaborative excellence. He brings deep passion and total commitment to every activity but this is never accompanied by over-the-top positive thinking or motivational mumbo-jumbo. In fact he abhors false positive “rah-rah-speak” and other superficial wishful thinking when there is no truth or substance behind it. He has little tolerance for egos and pointless politics. He believes that leaders should always share credit with every single contributor in a team. Conversely they should always be willing to accept blame and they should speak open and honestly about mistakes.

Taking his own advice to heart, Adrian intently observes and orients to any situation before offering an opinion. If you ask for an honest assessment that’s precisely what Adrian will deliver. He is completely and utterly focused on execution and delivery and is always willing to roll up his sleeves and jump into the trenches. He believes in mitigating risk and achieving excellence through diversification and looks to any event in any domain as an opportunity for learning. Although always willing to share and accept advice about what has worked or not worked in the past, he is highly cautious about unfailing best practices since there are almost always exceptional cases in any domain. To this end, Adrian believes that anyone may have to deal with aberrational events or Black Swans at any time.

Adrian is not a particularly funny guy although he likes to employ humor when he can and he is always on the lookout for a good laugh. He also believes that where possible, work should be fun.
